■Note to authors to submit the ICAUMS conference paper to JMSJ
The ICAUMS conference proceedings are published online only in a regular issue of the Journal of the Magnetics Society of Japan (JMSJ). JMSJ is an open access journal and the published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). The copyright of the published articles remains with the Magnetics Society of Japan (MSJ), and if you have any questions regarding the reuse of the articles, please contact the Magnetics Society of Japan. The special publication rate is 10,000 Japanese Yen/6 pages. The manuscript must be submitted via the MSJ web submission system. The manuscript will be published in the JMSJ after the usual peer review process.
Deadline for submission of the manuscript : April 30, 2025
Prohibition of Duplicate Contributions
It is forbidden to submit a manuscript to JMSJ that has already been published in or submitted to another journal, except in the case of Invited Review Papers. It is also forbidden to submit a manuscript to another journal which is identical or very similar to a manuscript submitted to JMSJ.
■Submission of the manuscript
Create an Account
If you do not have an account, click on "Register Manual" at the top of the MSJ web submission system to see how to create an account. If you have forgotten your password, click on the "Send Login Details" – see also "Register Manual".
Log in
Click on "Register Manual" at the top of the MSJ web submission system to see how to log in. To submit a manuscript, log in to the system as an author.
Review stage
Authors are requested to prepare their manuscripts for review in PDF format. Please follow the writing style in "A Camera-Ready Format for Submission of Manuscripts to the Magnetics Society of Japan" (Word). The paper must be submitted via the MSJ web submission system. To submit your manuscript, please log in as an "Author" and select "Submit New Manuscript" from the author main menu. In the web submission system, you will be asked to select the type of article and select
Article Type: IcAUMS
After the first review, authors may be asked to revise their manuscript according to the reviewers' comments. The revised manuscript will be submitted under "Submissions Needing Revision".
English rewriting
If authors request English Rewrite or if reviewers request English Rewrite, the MSJ will provide English Rewrite for your manuscript. The manuscript for English rewrite should be prepared in 12-point, double-spaced, single-column format and uploaded as an "English Rewrite" file in the submission process. The rewrite fee is 3,000 yen per journal page and will be charged by the MSJ office.
Final submission stage
Once your paper has been accepted, you will be asked to prepare a final camera-ready manuscript and Copyright Transfer and Contribution Charge Forms. Complete these and submit the final camera-ready manuscript PDF file via the MSJ web submission system and the Copyright Transfer and Contribution Charge Form PDF file via email to the MSJ Editorial Office. The final manuscript should be prepared according to "A Camera-Ready Format for Submission of Manuscripts to the Magnetics Society of Japan" and the dates of receipt, revision (in case of major corrections) and acceptance should be added after the reference section. The dates will be provided by the MSJ Editorial Office and will appear in the acceptance email.
■Guideline for preparation of manuscripts
Authors should prepare their manuscripts for review according to the following guidelines. More detailed information can be found on the journal website.
Lengths of manuscripts
The maximum length of a paper is six journal pages for both invited and contributed papers. Information on the required manuscript and character formats can be found in "A Camera-Ready Format for Submission to the Magnetics Society of Japan" (Word).
Title
The title of the manuscript should accurately and clearly express the content in English. The title should not be unnecessarily long.
Authors' names and affiliations
Authors' names, affiliations and addresses should be given in English only. If the authors are not affiliated with the same organization, use " * ", " ** ", etc. after the authors' names and before the affiliations.
Abstract
All manuscripts must include an abstract in English. The abstract must be a single paragraph of no more than 200 words for invited and contributed papers.
Key words
All manuscripts should include a list of key words in English. Key words should appear after the abstract under the heading "Key words:" and should be separated by commas. Five to ten Key words that convey the content of the manuscript should be selected from the body of the manuscript. Key words should be written entirely in lower case unless they are typically written in upper case or abbreviated. Key words should include only adjectives and nouns, and should not include articles, prepositions, or conjunctions.
Body of manuscript
The body of the manuscript should be prepared according to the following rules:
- Variables and mathematical expressions appearing in the body of the manuscript must be in italics, properly spaced and clearly legible.
- Product names or numbers must not be used.
- Words in compound or abbreviated forms are permitted only if these forms are in common use.
- Names of materials should be spelled exactly.
- International System of Units (SI) are recommended for use in manuscripts. However, the use of other units, including cgs, is permitted in manuscripts. For an understanding of the system of units, including SI, the article, "Recommended units", should be referred.
- Units should not be written in italics. The space should be inserted between the number and the unit.
Appendices and acknowledgement
Appendices should be placed after the main body and acknowledgements should be placed before the references.
References
Reference numbers in the body of the manuscript should be superscripted, e.g. 1) or 3)-5). Appropriately numbered references should appear at the end of the manuscript after the title "References". Journal abbreviations should be used with reference to the "Journal Title Abbreviations".
Dates of receipt, revise and acceptance of a manuscript
The dates of receipt of the manuscript and the revised manuscript (in the case of major corrections) and the date of acceptance of the manuscript should be given according to "A Camera-Ready Format for Submission of Manuscripts to the Magnetics Society of Japan" (Word). The Editorial Board will communicate these dates to the authors.
Figures, Tables, and Photographs
Figures and photographs should be numbered as Fig. 1, Fig. 2, etc. Similarly, tables should be numbered as Table 1, Table 2, etc. Use capital letters only for the first letter of the first word in a group, except for abbreviations (e.g. LCD) or other cases where such usage is standard (e.g. van Alphen). Captions and legends for tables should appear above the tables, and those for figures and photographs below.
