The 254th Topical Symposium of the Magnetics Society of Japan / The 52nd Technical Meeting on Optical Functional Magnetic Devices and Materials
New Frontiers in Sensing Technology with Magnetics and Optics
Optical measurement techniques utilizing magnetic phenomena have been widely used in basic research of the magnetic domain structures, electronic properties, and magnetization dynamics of magnetic materials. From engineering perspectives, such techniques have also been applied to optical magnetic recording technologies. In recent years, the increasing sensitivity of optical measurements using plasmons and other techniques is expected to lead to applications in current sensors, biosensors, etc. Recently, researches on new optical measurement techniques and sensing have emerged that measure magnetic responses at frequencies up to gigahertz and ultrafast magnetic responses. In this meeting, we invite five distinguished researchers working in the field of optical measurement applications utilizing magnetic topics covering from fundamental principles to practical applications. We look forward to your active participation.
