The 243rd Topical Symposium of the Magnetic Society of Japan/The 72nd Technical Meeting on New Magnetic Compounds
Forefront of high-entropy functional materials
Since the 2000s, research on high-entropy alloys (HEA), which are multi-element solid-solution alloys, has been active mainly in the field of materials engineering. On the other hand, there are many unclear points on superconductivity and magnetism in HEA-type materials. In recent studies, examples of applying the concept of HEA to compound functional materials have been reported, and the issue is how to introduce HEA-type crystallographic sites into complex crystal structures to improve their functional properties. In this meeting, we would like to introduce cutting-edge research on the development and functionality of alloy-based and compound-based high-entropy functional materials, and discuss research guidelines for high-entropy functional materials. We are looking forward to your participation.
