The 214th Topical Symposium of the Magnetic Society of Japan

Applications of High Magnetic Fields as a Way of Analysis

Materials show some responses against high magnetic fields depending on their properties. Especially, effects of the magnetic force are well known. Behaviors of materials such as an alignment, position, direction of movement and the structure in case of many body system can be controlled through the magnetic force in non-contact manner. In microscopic scale, the application of magnetic field brings us intrinsic information of materials such as the chemical bonding state through the nuclear magnetic resonance. In most of the cases, higher resolution in analysis will be attained using higher magnetic fields. In this topical symposium, recent progresses of analytical method using high magnetic field will be introduced. We welcome the participation of all of you.
