The 175th Topical Symposium of the Magnetics Society of Japan
Electromagnetism of nano-structured materials
Recent progress in the fields of meta-materials and spin-current using nano-structured materials has led a movement towards the re-consideration of magnetic permeability and electromagnetism of matter. Much attention has been paid to this movement also from the view point of near-field-assisted magnetic recording technologies. On the other hand, magnetic materials with large permeability have been intensively studied so far by members of the MSJ. This symposium is open for the discussion of “classical permeability” and “a new aspect of permeability” and to promote the novel research field of electromagnetism in nano-structured materials. In this symposium, we hope to generate exciting and stimulating discussion among those interested in this field.
