The 179th Topical Symposium of the Magnetics Society of Japan 8th Seminar on Magnetic Fluids
Magnetic Fluids: Progress in the past half-century and prospects for the next half-century
|
Half-century has passed since development of magnetic fluids by NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) and Tohoku University, which are now widely being used in various industrial applications. However, there are still several unresolved theoretical and practical issues for this novel material. In this symposium, researchers specializing in various areas related to magnetic fluids will deliver lectures about the new developments and future perspectives in their respective fields. We would like to provide the opportunity to have discussion on fundamental mechanisms and new applications of magnetic fluids. We are very much looking forward to your participation.
